Acahualinca beauty school video

Carl Hersh of Close-Up Productions, Miami, created a video depicting the conditions of Nicaraguans living in Acahualinca, one of the poorest, most polluted neighborhoods in Managua. His skills bring to life the images most North Americans can only imagine. At ease in Central America due to his news reporting experiences during the years of violence and war, Carl moved among workers digging in La Chureca trash. We are very grateful to Carl for his work.
